ENTREPRENEURSHIP THE GATEWAY TO SUCCESS BY KAYODE ALABI

We have ideas/services inside us that we want to offer to the community but we are scared of taking the bold step. Fear ruins our hidden forte and we need to Learn how to manage it, while failure geared us towards success. For one to be successful in business you must have failed and learn in the process.
I will carefully and briefly discuss five talking points of the lecture:
1. What Defines an entrepreneur from others. An entrepreneur takes risk, create, own and control a system and employs over 500 to work that system for him/her. However, it requires patience as you will start small before expanding gradually. He also creates a niche for his business and provide excellent customers service. He possesses this seven qualities of leadership: Vision, integrity, courage, humility, strategic planning, focus and cooperation
2. Entrepreneur understands how cash flow works and regulates it. He doesn't live above his means and knows that either he makes profit or break even instead of loss. However, if he makes loss, it is for a reason and might get times 2 profit in the future and make up for the loss.
3. The pathway to successful entrepreneur involves you doing your background work before venturing. Having a good business model, creating an outstanding business plan, identifying the right market and pitching up your business ideas to attract investors. However, before you can attract investors you must have started something. You need to remove from your pocket, before others will support you.
4. Skills for growth and development: for you to be a successful entrepreneur, you need combination of skills including 90 percent financial education and 10 percent emotional intelligence and technical knowhow. Communication Skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing), public speaking skills, networking skills, human relations skills, managerial skills, personal code of ethics.
5. You need a mentor to guide you to become a successful entrepreneur, some ideas need partners. You work with partners who are expertise in the area you are lacking and make sure you are bind legally. Passion builds business not fear. I want us to challenge the normal and I am not normal, then you shouldn't too (Adepeju Jaiyeoba), Education and making a difference is the key to successful entrepreneurship.
