𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗙 (Episode Four)

In the last episode, I shared a story that has to do with not being able to get what you know and that everyone knows that is rightfully yours. Knowing your right does not mean it is right in the sight of the law. If you missed that episode do well to read it by clicking on this link below 👇 NOW.

Now this is the continuation of this amazing series on grief. Please, read to the end, and thank you for always following it. 👇

Grief is so common to us all and in different situations, you have been made to grieve. Another way in which you grieve and you do not know it is grief is when you paid for something and in the end, what you got back was not even worth it. You know the slogan of what I ordered versus what I got, is what I am referring to here.

Jasmine a final year student at the University who is currently working on her thesis felt the need to contract it outside for someone to do it for her whether he or she is a professional or not. She is ready to focus on quantity over quality. This is what I mean, to her a lower price i.e. service fee is quality enough to get the job done instead of quality as she felt that her supervisor would not do a thorough check on her thesis.

After a few of the chapters of her work were done she was excited but got the shock of her life when her supervisor told her to start with the last two chapters of her thesis which is usually Chapter Four (Results and Discussion of Findings), and Chapter Five (Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation). Well, when you do not understand the technicality of a particular skill and field, you intend to fumble, and what she was after was a shabby work that will just get her through.

You must have heard a quote that life itself is a school and everyday life is teaching everyone whether you are ready and willing to learn or not different things about life. Jasmine's chapter four especially the discussion of findings wasn't up to standard enough and at the late hour when she was meant to have submitted her work she was told to go and redo it and there and then the veil covering her eyes was lifted and she began to look for a professional to redo it at the very late hour. This put her in a state of grief wondering why she paid the person who did what was rejected and not quality enough for her but I wasn't surprised as the quality was watered down by her and preferred quantity and she got what she wanted.

Well, before I proceed I want you to know that I am a researcher, academic writer, project/thesis writer, and technical writer. That is by the way and let's go back to what happened to Jasmine.

Jasmine got a professional to finally work on her discussion of findings but wasn't still ready to pay the quality price. When the researcher was done with 50% of the work, she was told the fee and then she felt it was too high for her stating that she paid a certain amount initially for chapters one to three which if carefully examined, the supervisor will not be pleased by it at all as she wanted something cheap even if it's not standard enough. The researcher who is a professional and has been doing this for years had to terminate their contract and get his pay as Jasmine wasn't ready nor willing to pay the required amount and didn't think it would be that high. At the end of the day, she couldn't meet up with the deadline and got another year as she was tagged as unserious by her supervisor. That was how she cost herself an additional year for prioritizing quantity over quality.

LESSONS FROM JASMINE STORY

🥺 Follow who knows the road and you will not get missing or lost. In life, some know what you do not know better than you and who are professionals in that area.

🥺 Where excellence is achievable, very good is not good enough. You must demonstrate and showcase excellence in all areas which means that quality should be your priority as you have a name to protect and your integrity is at stake.

🥺 Nothing good in life comes easily as it even costs to look good and maintain a good lifestyle so know that the kind and type of life you desire and the grade you long for it will not be awarded to you on a platter of gold.

🥺 Life is about sacrifice and overcoming grief requires sacrifice the one that shows that you must pay for the kind of life you desire. Jasmine wanted to graduate with her set but was not willing to give the 100% that was needed.

🥺 Follow those who know the road and have overcome the same grief that you are passing through as there is nothing new on earth. Jasmine wasn't ready to follow so she had to dance to the repercussions.

To be continued in the next episode. Stay tuned to this place.

Thank you, geopolitical zone members.
