The feet is measured by inches.
Roads are measured by miles.
But the happiness we gain in life is measured by
smiles.
Happiness is more of a habit than a sought goal;
More of an attitude than altitude.
It is a companion of cheerfulness, not a creation of
circumstance.
Happiness is like a perfume you cannot pour on
others without getting a little drop on yourself.
Happiness is what overtakes us when we forget
ourselves, when we learn to open our eyes in optimism and close the door in the
face of defeat.
We win happiness when we lose ourselves in service
to others.
It is neither wealth nor splendor, but tranquility
and occupation which gives happiness
