THE HIGH THE NATION

Dehydration is a very common thing and if not well taken care of it usually makes the victim become uncomfortable and desiring any liquid substance. When the body is dehydrated, it can lead to total and complete shutdown, and begin to overheat at times. A typical event that happens to a car that has no water in the radiator begins to overheat.


David a fitness person who loves exercising almost lost his life one day when the body I mean his body was lacking enough water. He was one like you who only drinks water after meals immediately after a meal and most times takes carbonated drinks more than water. The day he experienced complications and was rushed to the hospital was when he realized that he had been depriving his body of water even though he always felt that since the body is made up of 80% water there was no need to consume it since too much of it is not good at all.


Water has lots of benefits and these are:


👉 Water refreshes the body by helping the skin discharge unwanted particles through sweating.


👉 Water helps in flushing body wastes.


👉 What helps to improve digestion i.e. the digestive system depends on it.


👉 Since we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, water delivers oxygen throughout the body.


👉 Water boosts skin health and beauty making your skin glitter and making people ask what the secret is.


👉 Water helps to form saliva and mucus which I know you did not know before. Saliva helps our food to digest and keep your mouth, nose, and eyes moist. This will prevent any form of friction and damage. Tooth decay is also reduced just by drinking water. 


👉 Water also cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues. Dehydration can affect brain structure and function. Water is also involved in the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Prolonged dehydration contributes to thinking and reasoning problems. 


👉 Water regulates body temperature and that is why a cold bath cools down body temperature.


👉 Water helps to maintain blood pressure as a lack of it can cause blood to become thicker, increasing blood pressure in the process.


👉 Water makes minerals and nutrients accessible as it dissolves init and makes it possible to reach different parts of the body.


👉 The body's airways need water and when dehydrated, airways are restricted by the body to help minimize water loss. This can make asthma and allergies worse.


👉 Water prevents kidney damage. The kidney regulates fluid in the body and where there is insufficient water can lead to kidney stones and other problems.


👉 Water boosts performance during exercise, especially strenuous activity.


👉 Water also helps with weight loss, if it is consumed instead of sweetened juices and sodas. Drinking water before meals can help prevent overheating by creating a sense of fullness.


👉 Water reduces the chance of a hangover when partying.


The summary of all this is to let you know the importance of water to the body and in eradicating dehydration.
